The annual cRc Veterans Housing Food & Shelter car show took place in Norman under beautiful, sunny skies on 7/27/24.
We hosted 117 cars and proudly report that through registration fees and donations, the cRc was able to raise $7,292.00 for the Veteran Housing Fund at Food & Shelter. This was presented to Food & Shelter by cRc members Terry & Becky O'Dea, Dan Haggerty, and Sam & Sherri Klatt on 7/29/24.
In the 12 years that the club has been supporting Food and Shelter, we have raised more than $120,000 for the Food and Shelter Veteran Housing Fund, building the first tiny house in their new addition, providing various winter warm-clothing drives in conjunction with All-Saints school and Dale Graham foundation, and maintained a current free book exchange. We hope to continue this legacy by your attending our show. 100% of the money we earn at this show goes to Food and Shelter.
June 1, 2024 the third annual OLD TOWN MOORE show to benefit the Veteran Recreation and Transportation Fund. We raised about $5000 at the Norman Veteran Center and another $2300 in Moore. These funds will be split among the various Oklahoma Veteran Centers. Moore is the smallest car show we do, with about 75 cars attending. It's a diverse group of cars that come in here. Many orphan cars like the Rambler, Marlin, Hudson Wasp, and American Pacer are shown below—also some sharp Pontiac Trans-Am classics.
A true family atmosphere at this show in Noble, OK! In our opinion this is one of the most homespun shows we do. Most shows are somewhat similar: you drive in, pay your money, watch your car from a portable chair, and visit with other classic car owners. At Rose Rock, you have the added bonus of visiting with hundreds of interested citizens of Noble USA who have come to the fair, the festival, AND our great car show! This is not the biggest show around, as it is limited a bit by allocated space, but for your registration fee, one of the best!
It is also important to note that the money earned for putting on this show pays for all the trophies given at the Food and Shelter show and the other cRc car shows.
The cRc partners with Thunderbird Casino for two major area car shows annually, and the Absentee-Shawnee Native American Children's Relief Fund, which provides protective and supportive services for children living on tribal land, is their "go-to" charity of choice. We stand with them to help the children in any way possible.
